Noun - A person, place, thing, or object.
Examples:
1. The cat climbed the tree.
2. They drove to California for their summer vacation.

Proper Noun- Specific person, place, thing, or object... almost always capitalized.
  • Florida, Justin Bieber, Toyota
Common Noun- A general person, place, thing, or idea.
  •          cat, store, pencil, car

Use Post It Labels for Reading Practice

Your child can practice reading by helping you to label the house! Ask your child to choose a set of ten items around the house that he or she would like to learn to “read”. 
Write each word on a post-it note with your child’s help. Talk about the words, by pointing out the letters as you write them.

Beginning Sounds Game

Parts of a Plant





1.Go to this website.

2. This page shows a picture of a plant. Each part of the plant has a number. Match the number with the name of the plant part under the picture. When you choose the right name, it will appear next to the number.

3. After you have matched all of the parts with their names, print the page. The page will show the picture of the plant and the names for all the parts.
