Use your local newspaper to teach your child about synonyms!

Materials:

• Newspaper

• Thesaurus 

• Notebook paper

• Pen

• Paper

Procedure:

1. Explain to your child what a synonym is, and give them several examples.

2. Have your child choose an article in the newspaper to rewrite using synonyms.
